The best movie ever. No movie surpasses this. I can only hope that there will ever be a movie that is any better than this. Everything about it is great. The book is just as good as the movie. The soundtrack is also pretty nice(there's always a soft spot in my heart for classical guitar music. Oh, and it somewhat bothers me when people write "Wesley. It's "Westley" to those of you who don't pay attention. Uhhh. Yeh. And stuff.

My friends have been talking about this film for a good few years. but I always seemed to miss it when they put it on TV. The amount of swash that is buckled in this film makes up for all of the other 'bad' films of the genre. The tale of Wesley seeking out his lost love and coming up against the most unlikely of band of kidnappers. Cary Elwes' dry wit is perfect. Mandy Patinkin's manners are beyond belief. The beauty of Peter Falk and Fred Savage's commentary throughout the film is perfect. It is just a very funny film, which needs to be seen, and seen again.

The Princess Bride is a hilarious movie with some terrific, and very memorable dialogue. The characters are original, funny, and genuinely clever, and while the storyline isn't the greatest out there, the style of the writing makes up for any plot problems. This is a very entertaining movie, wittily directed by Rob Reiner, and I believe it would be very difficult not to really enjoy this film.

I can watch this movie 100 tymes over and over again - it never gets old. It is also one of the funniest/feel good movies ever. I own 8 copies of it (in case one breaks. and watch it all the time. Mandy, Cary, and Andre turn out stellar performances and have forced me to memorize every line in the movie. A must for everyone.
